Mercy Home for Boy's and Girls

BENEFICIARY MISSION
Founded in 1887, Mercy Home has a long history on Chicago’s west side as a refuge for homeless boys and girls. Today Mercy continues its commitment to help children from backgrounds of abuse, abandonment and neglect. Mercy provides these young people a safe, nurturing environment where eventually they can leave the home equipped to lead productive and promising lives.

20/30 CLUB INVOLVEMENT
Each winter The 20/30 Club of Chicago manages a basketball league called "Hoops to Homework." In order to participate, the children of Mercy are given personal school work goals. They must stay on track in order to play. In addition, we are actively involved in mentoring, tutoring, sports and arts programs at Mercy Home.

GRANT PROCEEDS
Mercy Home is a permanent beneficiary. Through our annual grant we continue to build an endowment that funds private school scholarships for the kids. The club also provided funds to create a physical fitness center at Mercy Home.
